Chris is a serial entrepreneur and investor with experience in both startups and publicly traded companies.  Over her career she has built 3 start up midstream companies with an aggregate exit valuation of 1.38 Billion.  Leveraging her entrepreneurial credentials, Chris brings a wealth of in-house experience in executing strategic decisions from start to finish in the lifecycle of a company, building the right teams, acquisition and divestitures of assets and exit strategy execution.  As a former executive of a public company, she provides perspective on the process of grooming start up companies for the IPO route, assembling boards, strategies for running a publicly held company as well as managing shareholder and board member expectations.  

Prior to Goose Capital, Chris founded Curation Farms I LLC, a pioneering cultivation company in the industrial hemp industry. She served as COO for Patients We Share, a healthcare technology company in TMCx. She is founder of Staffel Capital LLC which directly invests in early stage companies across the sectors of Real Estate, Enterprise Products, FemTech, B2B Software, Consumer Technology Products, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, FinTech, Energy, Healthcare and Women-led funds and startups.

Chris Staffel served as a founding member of PennTex Midstream Partners, LP, (NASDAQ:PTXP), Laser Northeast Gathering Company and Delphi Midstream Partners LLC.  At these midstream energy companies, she oversaw HR, PR, IT, Government Affairs, Risk Management and Facility Planning.  Chris also served as the NE spokeswoman for Williams Companies where she managed public affairs and strategic outreach for Williams’ interstate gas pipeline expansion project development and execution along the Atlantic-Gulf Transco system.

Ms. Staffel holds an Executive MBA from Rice University as well as an MFA from the University of Central Florida and a BM from Wheaton College.  She currently resides in Houston, TX and enjoys volunteering as an executive mentor for the Prisoners Entrepreneur Program. She has served on numerous non-profit and start up boards and most recently founded Thin Places - a 501c3 non-profit devoted to helping professionals rediscover creativity through the arts.  As an angel investor she is currently a member of Portfolia and the National Angel Capital Association.
