Dan Wolterman is a Healthcare Executive with more than 39 years of experience leading large, multi-hospital systems. Dan has extensive governance experience on publicly-traded, private, and non-profit companies Board of Directors as well as leadership experience of start-up medical device and provider companies. In 2016, he was elected into the Texas Business Hall of Fame.

Dan currently serves as Founder and CEO of Wolterman Consulting, Inc.  From November 2002 to July 2017 he served as President & CEO of Memorial Hermann Health System overseeing $5 billion in revenue, 24,000 employees, and 242 sites of care.  Prior to his role as President & CEO, he served as Memorial Hermann’s Senior Vice President-Operations from  May 1999 to October of 2002.  

Prior to Memorial Hermann, he held the roles of Senior Vice President-Operations from April 1993 to April 1999 at Sisters of Charity of Incarnate Word Health System, President & CEO at Holy Cross Health Services of Utah from August 1986-March 1993, and Vice  President-Alternative Delivery Systems at Holy Cross Health System from June 1982 to July 1986.

Dan earned a BA in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati, a MBA in Finance from the University of Cincinnati, and a MHA in Hospital Administration from Xavier University.

Dan currently serves on the board of NuVasive, Inc., InVuity, Inc, Vizient, Inc, and The Greater Houston Partnership.  Dan has served on numerous boards throughout his career including Volcano, Inc., Memorial  Hermann, Texas Hospital Association, VHA Texas, United Way of Houston, American Heart Association-Houston, Utah Hospital Association and Catholic Health Association.

He resides in Houston, Texas with his wife Lori Wolterman.  They are the proud parents three children.  In his spare time Dan enjoys golf, snow skiing, hiking, mountain biking and traveling.
