Michael Ley Wilson is a third generation Houstonian, born on March 10, 1973. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University with majors in Political Science and Human Performance and Health Sciences. 

Mr. Wilson began his career in land development in 1997 working under his close family member and mentor, Robert M. Ley. Mr. Ley was a well-established real estate developer in Houston for 40 years. In 2001, Mr. Wilson merged his company with his cousin, David W. Ley to form Ley Wilson Development, LLC. Ley Wilson Development, LLC has purchased, developed and sold several hundred millions of dollars of commercial and single family residential developments throughout Harris, Fort Bend and Montgomery County. In addition to developing over 800,000 square feet of retail projects valued at $320,000,000, Ley Wilson Development has developed and sold more than 2,000 single family residential lots to twenty different homebuilders ranging from the largest publically traded homebuilder in the country to regional and local homebuilders and has negotiated over $75,000,000 dollars of Municipal Utility District receivables for various developments. Ley Wilson Development's largest endeavor to date is New Forest. New Forest is a master planned community in east Harris County. At completion, New Forest will consist of over 2,000 homes, 1,500,000 square feet of retail development, 5 schools, 1000 units of apartments and 1,000,000 square feet of medical and office space. 

Mr. Wilson is a member of the Greater Houston Builders Association and is a lifelong member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Houston. He is an active member of Houston Country Club and has served as a board member of the Wendel D. Ley YMCA and Trotter Family YMCA. Mr. Wilson successfully chaired a multi-million dollar capital campaign for the renovation of the Trotter Family YMCA athletic fields in 2013. 

He spends his free time with his family and attending athletic events at Rice University. Mr. Wilson is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys golf and bird hunting with his Labrador Retriever, Chief.
